SIIA Joins Letter Supporting Reauthorization of the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act

The Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) recently joined a letter urging Congress to reauthorize the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act of 2015 (CISA) before it expires on September 30, 2025. CISA has been a foundational tool in enabling timely, secure, and effective sharing of cyber threat information between the public and private sectors. Its reauthorization is vital to ensuring businesses can continue to detect, respond to, and mitigate cyberattacks with legal certainty and in close coordination with government partners.

The letter-organized by the Protecting America's Cyber Networks Coalition, which represents nearly every sector of the U.S. economy-highlights how CISA has improved cybersecurity collaboration, including the growth of information sharing and analysis centers (ISACs). Letting the law lapse would undermine national security and expose businesses, individuals, and communities to greater cyber risk. Read the full letter here.
