Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Armenia with the European Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism

On September 23, in New York, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Apostolos Tzitzikostas, European Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism.

The interlocutors discussed issues of mutually beneficial and practical cooperation within the framework of the Armenia-EU Connectivity Partnership, as an important component of the strategic agenda for the Armenia-EU partnership. The importance of Armenia's integration into regional transport networks and the development of inclusive connectivity was emphasized, along with the active dynamics of discussions in this direction.

Initiatives aimed at the consistent development of cooperation in the fields of transport and tourism were discussed.

The sides touched upon issues related to the implementation of the TRIPP project as an important component of broader connectivity initiatives and the "Crossroads of Peace" project of the Republic of Armenia.

Minister Mirzoyan and Commissioner Tzitzikostas exchanged views on cooperation between Armenia and the EU in the field of aviation.
