Rep. Mullin Supports Protestors in Iran Seeking Freedom & Basic Human Rights

In response to the Iranian government's violence and killing of protestors, Rep. Kevin Mullin issued the following statement:

"The people of Iran who are rising up to confront decades of violence and oppression are displaying an incredible sense of bravery in their quest for freedom. I stand with those who are fending for basic their human rights, dignity and an end to a dictatorial regime that is perpetuating violence against its people.

I support California's Iranian community through this turbulent time, and the information blackout and violence must end immediately. The people of Iran deserve a peaceful resolution and freedom from authoritarian oppression."
