2026 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

Dear Adelphi Community,

As we do each year, Adelphi University is notifying our campus community that the 2026 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report is available. This annual notice and the report's publication by October 1 are required by federal law under the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act).

The Clery Act mandates timely, accurate and complete reporting of select crime and safety statistics on and near our campus. The University's annual report includes data for the previous three years concerning Clery-reported crimes that occurred:

• On campus
• In certain non-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Adelphi University
• On public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from campus

The report also includes:

• Institutional campus security policies, including those regarding alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, reporting of crimes, hate crimes, hazing, sexual assault (including Title IX), the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking.
• Information about emergency operations plans, procedures, timely and emergency notifications and warnings, and Amanda's Law, the Kerry Rose Fire Sprinkler Notification Act, and the annual fire safety report.
• Updated hazing reporting procedures under the Stop Campus Hazing Act (SCHA), effective January 1, 2025. This 2026 report includes statistics on hazing allegations within Clery geography. Details about substantiated hazing violations by student organizations are available separately in our Campus Hazing Transparency Report.

A printed copy of the 2026 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report is available upon request in the Department of Public Safety and Transportation Office located in Levermore Hall, Suite 113.
