DGA Statement on Texas GOP Primary's Results

DGA Executive Director Meghan Meehan-Draper released the following statement in response to Greg Abbott becoming the Republican nominee for governor in Texas:

"Greg Abbott has been in office for 12 years and Texans have paid the price. Under Abbott's leadership, Texas has faced years of power grid failures, soaring costs, and a health care system that is the worst in the nation. Instead of fighting for working families, Abbott has handed out taxpayer-funded no-bid contracts to his billionaire donors - and all the corruption in Austin leads to the governor's desk. In this campaign, Abbott will have to answer for his years of failing Texas families and communities."
