Emily Ann Roberts had the best response to commenters saying the country star looked pregnant.
Roberts, 27, reacted to the comments in a recent clip she shared on Instagram. The Knoxville, Tennessee-born artist, who launched her career on Blake Shelton's team on The Voice in 2015, said, "All y'all are commenting saying 'I see a baby bump.' Did nobody tell you that that's hateful to tell somebody that they look pregnant? Nevertheless, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em! Operation ticket upgrade in Phoenix, Arizona, it's going to be a little bit bigger than usual. Let's transform."
Roberts wore a fake baby bump as part of a disguise before she made her way through the crowd of concertgoers to surprise a few people with ticket upgrades.
"Well, I hate this more than I thought I would. And I thought I was gonna hate it," she said as she debuted the bump. "I don't know if it's quite believable, but we're working on a short time frame and a tight budget, OK? So it's the best we can do."
The singer-songwriter showed her husband, Chris Sasser, the costume. She said, "Congrats, dad… It's nothing at all!"
Roberts went on to surprise a few unsuspecting fans near the back of the venue with upgraded tickets to see headliner Thomas Rhett. She determined that the fake baby bump "has been my best disguise so far." Watch it here :
