The City of Yuma invites the community to celebrate local agriculture at the second annual AGFest on Saturday, January 24, from 1 to 9 p.m. in Downtown Yuma. This free, family-friendly event brings together food, music, and hands-on activities while recognizing the growers who help make Yuma the "Winter Vegetable Capital of the World."
AGFest will feature something for everyone, with dance performances, hands-on activity stations, a free kids' area, and food and drinks available for purchase from local vendors.
Live music will take place throughout the day, with performances by Checker'd Past, Morros del Garage, and La Sonora Santanera.
"AGFest is a great opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy a day of food, entertainment, and family-friendly activities," said Special Events Coordinator Brissa Garcia. "We're excited to welcome everyone to Downtown Yuma to celebrate our local agriculture."
In addition to the day's activities, City of Yuma Parks and Recreation will host a special unveiling of a new art sculpture, inviting the community to experience a new addition to Downtown Yuma.
Yuma AGFest is made possible through the generous support of presenting sponsor Chapman Chevrolet GMC. The City also extends a special thank you to event sponsors Bingham Equipment Company, Imperial Dates Gardens, Inc., Elite Farming Services, Taylor Farms, Sutton Ag Enterprises, Yuma Super Greens, DMF Living Soils, Gowan, the Arizona Department of Agriculture, Channel 11, ABC5, Telemundo 3, Signmasters, Lamar, Z93, and Outlaw Country.
