Update on Street Projects

City staff provides an update on 2024 street projects:

North Inlays

Reed Street is open to local traffic. Sidewalks and ramps are being completed. Work on both Spencer and Reed Streets is expected to be completed this fall.

4th Avenue Reconstruction

4th Avenue remains closed for work. Mainline paving is complete, work on walks and drives continues. Lighting will be operational soon as they are waiting on one piece for the control panel. Seeding will follow up later this fall.

Park Street

Park Street north of 6th Avenue is open to traffic. Paving of Park Street south of 6th Avenue will start the middle of next week. Lighting and tree planting will follow. Park Street south of 6th Avenue will open later this fall.

Scout Subdivision

Seeding and mulching is completed for the year. The bulk of the work on the remainder of the site will occur in 2025.

Downtown Maintenance Project

Work is scheduled to begin next week, likely on October 9th. The first efforts will be focused around the square, but exact location is unknown at this time. Parking stalls may be closed for a week or so at a time. Removing and replacing damaged pieces of concrete will likely be the first activity.
