Child Struck By Car Tuesday While Crossing McCrory Lane
A 6-year-old boy is in critical condition at Vanderbilt Pediatrics after he was struck by a Hyundai Palisade Tuesday afternoon in the 8200 block of McCrory Lane.
The preliminary investigation indicates the child was struck by the eastbound Palisade as he entered the roadway heading towards his apartment complex nearby. It appears the 6-year-old climbed an embankment and went over a guardrail in order to cross the road.
The 68-year-old driver remained on scene and showed no signs of impairment.
