E. Las Olas Boulevard Water Main Repair

The City of Fort Lauderdale and Southern Underground Industries are making emergency repairs on the water distribution system at the southeast corner of the intersection of E. Las Olas Boulevard and Seabreeze Boulevard in Central Beach. This project includes:

• Repairing a 12-inch water main
• Restoring impacted asphalt and landscaping

Construction will begin on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, and is expected to be completed on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. Work will take place overnight between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances

Traffic Impacts

• Eastbound E. Las Olas Boulevard will be closed east of Seabreeze Boulevard nightly during work hours. Westbound traffic will not be impacted.
  
• Traffic will be detoured along Seabreeze Boulevard to the u-turn located south of SE 5th Street to access A1A.
  
• One eastbound lane of E. Las Olas Boulevard will be closed between Poinciana Drive and Seabreeze Boulevard nightly during work hours.
  
• One southbound lane of Seabreeze Boulevard will be closed between Cortez Street and south of E. Las Olas Boulevard nightly during work hours.
• Please follow posted signs and drive with caution in the area.
