Dentons US announced today the continued expansion of its Charleston, South Carolina, office with the addition of Real Estate partners Ryan Goer and Bryan Walpole. They are joined by Real Estate counsel Steve McCrae and Caitlin Nevin, further strengthening the Firm's growing presence in the region.
The additions come just one week after Dentons US announced the opening of its Charleston office, marking another step forward in the Firm's strategic expansion into one of the fastest-growing markets in the country. The Firm sees Charleston as a key hub for supporting clients across an expanding business community, a strong regional talent pool, and industries critical to long-term economic growth.
"The pace at which we are building our Charleston office speaks to both the opportunity in this market and our confidence in its long-term potential," said Dentons US Chief Executive Officer Sonia Martin. "Real estate is a core practice for Dentons US and a key area of strategic investment. This continued expansion strengthens our ability to serve clients across the South and reinforces our commitment to strategic, sustainable growth."
Goer and Walpole advise mortgage portfolio lenders, servicers, borrowers, and private and institutional lenders on a wide range of secured lending matters. Their experience includes loan origination and the servicing of securitized loans, including defeasances, assumptions, modifications, consents, and other servicing matters. Walpole also advises on the purchase and sale of distressed debt.
McCrae and Nevin represent clients across complex commercial real estate transactions and development matters. Nevin also advises on acquisitions, dispositions, financings, leasing, and joint ventures and has particular experience in renewable energy development, retail leasing, zoning, and entitlements, including South Carolina Fee-in-Lieu of Tax (FILOT) agreements. McCrae focuses on governmental entitlements and economic incentives for industrial and developer clients and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
"Building depth and capability in Charleston is a key priority for the Firm," said John Holahan, Managing Partner of Dentons US. "These additions reflect our commitment to growing a high-performing office in a rapidly growing market that pairs well nationally with the strength of our leading practice groups and presence across money centers."
The Charleston office opened with a group of eight partners across multiple practices. The initial Real Estate team included Amy Ironmonger, Bo Manuel, and Matt Norton. Walker Coleman and Cecilia Ehresman joined the Employment and Labor practice, while Jamie Bruce, Ernie Cochran, and Cooper Hawley joined the Corporate practice.
