Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and Lesotho

On September 22, 2026 in New York, in the margins of the 81th Session of the UN General Assembly the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations of the Kingdom of Lesotho Mr. Limpho Justice Tau.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on bilateral and multilateral relations between Tajikistan and Lesotho and discussed opportunities to further develop and expand cooperation in the areas of economics, trade, industry, tourism, and the sustainable use of water and energy resources.

At the end of the meeting, the Foreign Ministers signed a Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Lesotho.
