07/23/2025—Benjamin Land to Be Sworn In as Supreme Court Justice

Atlanta, July 23, 2025 - The Honorable Benjamin Land will be sworn in as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Georgia on Thursday, July 24, 2024, at 3 p.m. (Eastern).

Gov. Brian Kemp will administer the oath of office in the North Wing of the Georgia State Capitol.

Judge Land has served on the Georgia Court of Appeals since July 20, 2022, following his appointment to the court by Gov. Kemp. He was previously a judge on the Superior Court for the Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit, having been appointed by then-Gov. Nathan Deal in 2018.

Judge Land will be filling the vacancy on the Supreme Court of Georgia created by the retirement of former Chief Justice Michael P. Boggs earlier this year.
