VANCE, AL - Today, U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) spoke at Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. (MBUSI) to celebrate the world premiere of the GLE and GLS models, as well as the 5 million vehicles that have been assembled in Alabama since the facility started its line of production almost 30 years ago.
MBUSI currently employs roughly 5,800 Alabamians and supports another 58,000 jobs with suppliers and service providers in the region. Since 1997, Mercedes-Benz has brought manufacturing and well-paying jobs to the Yellowhammer State, and thanks to MBUSI, Alabama will continue to be the leader in President Trump's "Made in America" initiative. Sen. Tuberville was joined in the celebration by U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary, Sean Duffy, and Alabama's junior U.S. Senator, Katie Britt.
Senator Tommy Tuberville represents Alabama in the United States Senate and is a member of the Senate Armed Services, Agriculture, Veterans' Affairs, HELP and Aging Committees.
