California-based hybrid RIA Trilogy Financial Services has hired 25-year industry veteran Amy Kane to fill the newly created role of head of Wealth Planning. She will be responsible for overseeing the $4 billion firm's wealth planning division, managing enhanced wealth and financial planning, and wealth solutions for high-net-worth clients.
Kane, a CPA, CFP, CTFA, and CDFA, will also head the design of scalable systems to support consistent and efficient planning, streamline advisor workflows, and ensure alignment with Trilogy's broader business objectives, according to the firm.
As the demand for private market investment grows, Kane is also tasked with aligning Trilogy's advisors with appropriate private market solutions.
"Private market investing continues to gain significant momentum as both advisors and clients look beyond public markets for diversification and new sources of return," Kane told Alternatives Watch. "Investors are increasingly drawn to private equity, private credit, hedge funds, and direct real estate as they seek greater diversification, reduced volatility, and access to assets unavailable on public markets. Once the domain of large institutions, these asset classes are now more accessible to qualified private investors who understand the potential for enhanced long-term outcomes."
Trilogy's CIO, Mike Serio, said the firm is seeing client demand accelerate as investors look for ways to complement traditional portfolios with private assets that align with their liquidity needs.
"This growing appetite is especially strong among high-net-worth families and next-generation investors who are inheriting or building significant wealth," Serio added. "They value access to innovative, purpose-driven investments and expect transparency and thoughtful guidance from their advisors."
Kane added that as access expands, so does the responsibility for careful selection and oversight.
"The approach at Trilogy focuses on rigorous manager selection, comprehensive due diligence, and ongoing oversight to ensure clients' interests are protected," Kane said. "Manager diligence remains a defining factor of success, and at Trilogy, each partner is continually vetted for performance consistency, discipline, and alignment with our clients' objectives.
"The rising wave of private wealth and the historic transfer to younger generations are expected to sustain this momentum and continued growth in private markets," she went on. "We are committed to empowering our advisors with education, tools, and strategic partnerships to deliver institutional-quality private market access - helping clients achieve diversification, manage volatility, and pursue returns beyond traditional markets."
