MARIETTA, GA - The City of Marietta is proud to announce its Public Works Department has received recertification of its Local Administered Project Certification through the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) to administer federal-aid projects. This five-year certification allows the City to locally manage federally funded transportation projects while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Under this certification, Marietta will follow the GDOT Local Administered Project Manual and maintain rigorous project oversight, including adhering to regulations, tracking performance measures, and keeping detailed records.

"This recertification reinforces our commitment to effective project management and strengthens our ability to enhance local infrastructure," said Mark Rice, Director of Public Works. "It also allows the City to continue to receive federal and state funding for transportation projects."
