Executive Director of Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful Darcy Phillips gave an annual update highlighting a year of community stewardship, environmental impact, and collaborative beautification efforts.

Mayor Ed Lawson proclaimed August 1-2, 2025, as the Sparks high School Grand Reunion Weekend to celebrate the school's lasting legacy of pride, tradition, and community impact.
General Business
Council approved:

A resolution supporting the inclusion of downtown Sparks in the Nevada Main Street Program and authorized staff to apply to become a Nevada Main Street Exploring Downtown.

The Second Amendment to the Joint Funding Agreement with the State of Nevada, Truckee Meadows Water Authority, Washoe County, City of Reno, and City of Fernley for funding Nevada's share of the Truckee River Operating Agreement for Federal fiscal years 2026 -2030, with Sparks's annual share estimated to be $82,000, $84,500, $87,000, $89,500, and $92,000.
