Extreme Heat and Community Resilience Program (EHCRP) Round 2 Draft Guidelines

The Extreme Heat and Community Resilience Program (EHCRP) has released draft guidelines for its second round of funding. This round (Round 2) is supported by the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund and Proposition 4. The program aims to fund and support local, regional, and Tribal efforts to reduce the impacts of extreme heat.

To help inform program design, EHCRP invites the general public to review the draft guidelines and submit comments.

Open comment period: Feb. 3 to March 4, 2026, at 12 p.m. PST

Please submit your comments using the Submission Form.

Program staff will be holding a webinar to provide an overview of where the guidelines stand. This is also a great opportunity for prospective applicants to stay informed and contribute input that will directly influence the guidelines.

In this session, we will provide an overview of the draft guidelines and go over the process to provide feedback.
