CONCORD, N.H. - Today, Governor Kelly Ayotte met with the Community College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH) Board of Trustees to discuss the State's progress on workforce development and highlight the importance of growing New Hampshire's health care workforce through the GO-NORTH initiative.
"The Community College System of New Hampshire has done an exceptional job of putting Granite Staters on the pathway to good-paying careers, and the work we've done over the last year will ensure that momentum continues," said Governor Ayotte. "With their focus on expanding our rural health care workforce, CCSNH will be a critical partner for our GO-NORTH initiative. I look forward to working with our community colleges and all of our GO-NORTH partners to expand access to affordable, high-quality health care in rural areas of our state."
CCSNH is one of five partners that GO-NORTH has chosen to help administer Rural Health Transformation Program funds. Upon contract approval by the Executive Council, CCSNH will focus on establishing and expanding rural health care career pathways to address critical workforce shortages.
