Rolls-Royce to power additional Fast Response Cutters with mtu engines Rolls-Royce to power additional Fast Response...

Bollinger has already delivered 61 FRCs equipped with mtu 20V 4000 M93L engines. The original contract was for up to 58 vessels, with final delivery set for 2028. Extensions to the contract increased the program to 77 cutters and extends the production line by approximately three years.

The new FRCs will help modernize the current USCG fleet - creating a more agile, capable and responsive fighting force - and will complement the capabilities of the USCG's other security cutters as an essential element of the nation's layered maritime security strategy.

Designed for high-demand marine applications, Rolls-Royce's mtu 20V 4000 M93L engines offer high-power density, compact design and exceptional fuel efficiency, allowing the FRCs to significantly increase their mission durations and range, reach high speeds, and achieve optimal performance in demanding maritime conditions. Rolls-Royce will also provide ongoing service support and maintenance for the engines throughout their operational life.

Rolls-Royce has a long-term customer relationship with Bollinger, having supplied propulsion technologies for multiple USGC vessel platforms built by the company over the past 30+ years.
