Rep. Regina Lewis-Ward Appointed to Clayton State University Alumni Board of Advisors

ATLANTA - State Representative Regina Lewis-Ward (D-McDonough) was recently appointed to the Clayton State University Alumni Board of Advisors. The appointment reflects her continued commitment to education, community engagement and strengthening connections among alumni and future graduates of Clayton State University.

"It is truly an honor to serve my alma mater in this capacity and to join fellow alumni who are committed to giving back to Clayton State University," said Rep. Lewis-Ward. "Our kickoff meeting was an exciting opportunity to begin building relationships, sharing ideas and focusing on how we can strengthen alumni engagement and support the next generation of Lakers."

Rep. Lewis-Ward joined fellow board members for the organization's 2027 kickoff meeting last Saturday, August 22, 2026, marking the beginning of a new period of engagement, collaboration and planning.

Rep. Lewis-Ward highlights that Clayton State University's alumni play an important role in connecting mentors, networking, volunteerism, advocacy, student support and promoting university initiatives. She adds that the advisory board seeks to strengthen the lifelong relationship between Clayton State University and its alumni community.

"I look forward to working alongside board president Christopher Toussant, university leadership, alumni, students and community partners to advance the goals of the university and strengthen the community for generations to come," concluded Rep. Lewis-Ward.

Representative Regina Lewis-Ward represents the citizens of 115, which includes portions of DeKalb and Henry counties. She was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2020 and currently serves on the Agriculture & Consumer Affairs, Banks & Banking, Energy, Utilities & Telecommunications and Interstate Cooperation committees.
