Glens Falls man arrested after welfare fraud investigation

INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED: William A. Kaminski Age: 55 Glens Falls, NY

INCIDENT SUMMARY: According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff's Office arrested William A. Kaminksi, (55), of Glens Falls, for Welfare Fraud in the 3rd Degree, a class D Felony, after a joint investigation by the Sheriff's Office and the Washington County Department of Social Services. As a result of the investigation, it was determined that Kaminski committed a fraudulent act and received benefits from Washington County Department of Social Services that he was not eligible for, resulting in him receiving benefits greater than $3,000.

Kaminski was arraigned in Central Arraignment and released on his own recognizance pending a future court date in the Town of Fort Edward Court.
