Live Cattle futures closed lower. Feeder Cattle, Lean Hog futures posted gains.

Live Cattle futures closed lower while feeder cattle and Lean Hogs futures posted gains in a mixed day for livestock markets. The wholesale boxed beef report was mixed, and Monday's slaughter was reported at 110,000 head. The latest Commitment of Traders report showed funds holding a net long position in Live Cattle futures of 128,000 contracts, and funds were small net buyers in Feeder Cattle futures, which broke a five-week streak of being net sellers.
