Governor Stein Announces Superior Court Appointment

Today Governor Josh Stein announced that he has appointed Alicia Marks Flowers to the Superior Court for Judicial District 14B, serving part of Cumberland County. Flowers is filling the vacancy created after the Honorable Gail Adams retired.

Flowers is currently Associate Dean of Administration and External Affairs and Counsel to the Dean at North Carolina Central University School of Law. She previously served for fifteen years in the Cumberland County District Attorney's Office. Flowers received her B.A. from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and her J.D. from North Carolina Central University School of Law

"With a strong record of public service and deep ties to Cumberland County, Alicia is well suited for this appointment," said Governor Josh Stein. "Her legal knowledge and dedication to her community will serve the county and state well."
