CLEVELAND, OH - Today, Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund endorsed Mayors Against Illegal Guns Co-Chair Justin Bibb for re-election as Mayor of Cleveland.
"Mayor Bibb is showing how mayors can make life-saving progress on gun safety by combining smart policing, investing in youth engagement, and expanding mental health support for people in crisis," said John Feinblatt, president of Everytown for Gun Safety. "We're proud to endorse Mayor Bibb for reelection and look forward to four more years of bold, innovative leadership that keeps Cleveland families safe."

As mayor, Justin Bibb has prioritized safer communities by directing resources to youth programming and engagement, creating a care response program for residents experiencing a mental health crisis, and increasing police recruitment and pay while also working to rebuild community trust. Under his leadership, Cleveland has seen a reduction in gun violence, and Mayor Bibb has been recognized nationally for his leadership-receiving Everytown's 2024 Local Gun Sense Lawmaker of the Year award for his innovative and determined work to keep his city safe.
