City to Host Free Sustainable Health & Wellness Village Festival on Sept. 19

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (September 14, 2026) - Free health screenings, fresh produce, and family entertainment will take center stage at Alice Jennings Archibald Park, 23 Van Dyke Ave., on Saturday, Sept. 19, for the 12th Annual Sustainable Health & Wellness Village Festival.

Running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the festival kicks off a statewide tour by nonprofit CareSparc Community Connections aimed at advancing health equity and reducing barriers to care.

Attendees can access free vision exams with prescription eyeglasses, health screenings, mental health resources, free haircuts, and nutrition education.

The event also features food trucks, children's activities, and live music from salsa band Tempo Alegre, Valerie Adams & The Dimension Band, and a house music set curated by DJ Antoine Qua.

"The Sustainable Health & Wellness Village Festival is an important part of New Brunswick's commitment to building a healthier, stronger community," said Mayor Jim Cahill.

The event is presented in partnership with Johnson & Johnson, Middlesex County, and local healthcare providers.
