Sutter Health today announced Scott Nordlund has been appointed Executive Vice President, Corporate Development & Partnerships. In this role, Nordlund will report directly to President and CEO Warner Thomas and lead Sutter Health's enterprise corporate development and partnership strategy.

Nordlund will be responsible for shaping and executing systemwide business and national partnership development outside California, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic affiliations. His work will focus on expanding access to care, diversification of assets, strengthening service lines and advancing Sutter Health's integrated care model.

"Scott brings a proven track record of leading complex enterprise expansion strategies and building high-impact partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem," said Warner Thomas, President and CEO of Sutter Health. "I'm honored to join Sutter Health and to work alongside its talented physicians, clinicians and leaders," said Scott Nordlund. "Sutter has a strong reputation for integrated, high-quality care, and I look forward to helping advance partnerships and capabilities that expand access and support the system's mission."

Previously, Nordlund held senior executive roles at Select Medical, Trinity Health and Dignity Health, where he led complex acquisitions, joint ventures and partnerships across acute, ambulatory, post-acute and payer platforms. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with boards, physicians, regulators and community partners to support enterprise priorities that require close collaboration, sound governance and strong cultural alignment.

Nordlund holds dual master's degrees in business administration and health services administration from the University of Michigan and a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
