Shooting Investigation in Hampton, New Hampshire

Concord, NH - Attorney General John M. Formella, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Mark B. Hall, and Hampton Police Department Chief Alexander J. Reno announce that investigators have responded to a shooting incident that occurred early this morning in the area of P Street in Hampton, New Hampshire.

The exact circumstances of the incident remain under active investigation. At this time investigators are looking into the death of an adult male. An autopsy is expected to be completed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner later today.

Given the investigation, authorities anticipate that portions of P Street, Ashworth Street, and Ocean Boulevard will be closed for a period of time. All parties have been identified and there is no known threat to the general public at this time.

Additional information will be released as it becomes available while protecting the integrity of the investigation.
