Polish-Pakistani political consultations

04.07.2025

The ninth round of Polish-Pakistani political consultations was held in Warsaw on 4 July 2025. The meeting was hosted by Secretary of State Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski. The Pakistani delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Muhammad Ayub.

The two officials reiterated their willingness to intensify political relations, including through a greater frequency of high-level bilateral visits. They highlighted the strong need to enhance economic cooperation, including trade and investments. The interlocutors also recalled the glorious pages of Polish-Pakistani history, including the welcoming of Polish refugees in Pakistan during World War II and the contribution of the Polish Armed Forces in the West veterans to the establishment of Pakistan Air Forces, and discussed ideas to ensure their appropriate commemoration.

Both sides also talked about several most urgent regional and global issues. They agreed that whether conflicts unfold in Europe or Asia, the only solution is to return to the system based on principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations.

Deputy Minister Muhammad Ayub invited Deputy Minister Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski to the next round of consultations to Islamabad in 2026.
