Traffic Impacts this Friday for Crane Assembly and Mobilization Near Spokane City Hall

SPOKANE, WA Oct 15, 2025: In preparation for the assembly of the crane that will be used in rock relocation work at Monroe Street Dam, traffic will be impacted on several streets in downtown Spokane throughout the day on Friday, October 17th.

Spokane Falls Blvd. will be closed between Post St. and Lincoln St. from 4:30 AM to 7:00 PM. All street parking will be closed on Spokane Falls Blvd. between Post St. and Lincoln St.

Spokane Falls Blvd. will be reduced to two lanes between Stevens St. and Post St. Local traffic will still be able to turn north on Post St. to park at meters and/or have access to cross the Post St. bridge. Thru traffic will be detoured south at Howard St. The parking garage at River Park Square will maintain access to the entrance and exit.

Traffic control personnel will be in place throughout the crane mobilization to assist drivers and ensure safety.
