The La Crosse Tribune highlighted both the demolition of Dairyland's retired Genoa Station #3 (G-3) power plant and the New ERA grant award announcement as top stories of 2024.

G-3 Demolition: The demolition of the 500-foot stack and main building of the retired G-3 power plant was completed safely on March 19, 2024. The event was a major milestone in the final decommissioning and dismantlement of G-3 as part of Dairyland's energy transition plans. La Crosse Tribune Reporter Steve Rundio included it in his "top five" stories of 2024.
