European Aviation Network (EAN) coverage to now include Serbia.

MUNICH, 2 February, 2026 - Viasat Inc., a global leader in satellite communications, today announced the expansion of its award-winning European Aviation Network (EAN) to include Serbia. This network enhancement, delivered in partnership with Deutsche Telekom, improves in-flight connectivity (IFC) performance for airlines and passengers flying through Serbian airspace on EAN-equipped aircraft.

The expanded coverage is enabled by the activation of new ground stations, which will benefit connectivity service on flights over the region, including to and from the Balkans, and from Germany and western Europe into Greece, among other routes.

IFC offerings across Europe are evolving and as airlines continue to move towards 'freemium' and 'full and free' propositions, EAN's scalability continues to provide a superior passenger experience ready to support a variety of commercial models, providing airlines with maximum flexibility.

"This expansion is a testament to our continued investment in the European Aviation Network and our long-term commitment to our airline partners and the European aviation market," said Don Buchman, President, Viasat Aviation. "As passenger demand for high-quality connectivity continues to grow across Europe, we are proactively enhancing the network to ensure a consistent, high-performance experience. The addition of coverage over Serbia improves a key traffic corridor and underlines EAN's ability to scale and deliver a superior service in Europe's busy skies."

EAN is the world's first and only connectivity solution that integrates S-band satellite coverage with a complementary ground component (CGC) network. EAN, part of Viasat's global aviation portfolio, is designed specifically to meet the challenges of Europe's congested airspace and frequent aircraft manoeuvres, delivering a seamless, low-latency broadband experience that matches on-the-ground expectations.

As passenger demand for high-quality connectivity continues to grow across Europe, we are proactively enhancing the network to ensure a consistent, high-performance experience. The addition of coverage over Serbia improves a key traffic corridor and underlines EAN's ability to scale and deliver a superior service in Europe's busy skies."
