Andy Biggs Still Can't Explain Why He Protected A Cult of Pedophiles

New reporting from AZ Family digs into how a "controversy from more than a decade ago is resurfacing in the race for governor," after Andy Biggs' history of protecting "child sex predators and a corrupt polygamous sect in Colorado City," is becoming a "central issue before the general election."

AZ Family reports that "some of his own Republicans said he had a chance to stop the abuse of children in Colorado City, but did nothing," and some are still "very upset about what happened."

When pressed on his record, Biggs offered no real explanation and told AZ Family that these are questions that he's "already addressed."

However, AZ Family noted that when they pressed Biggs on why he protected predators last year, he said, "I can't remember the procedure. I do remember the bill." Previously, a reporter for AZ Family said Biggs "blew me off" when he tried to ask questions.

This follows a recent investigation from the Washington Post detailing how Biggs' record of protecting the cult "accused of sexually abusing girls" that has caused him to receive backlash from Republicans "may haunt" his campaign.

"It's completely unacceptable that Andy Biggs still cannot explain his record of blocking bipartisan reforms to protect an extremist cult of pedophiles in Arizona," said DGA Communications Director Sam Newton. "Biggs can try to hide in the basement all he wants, but his dangerous record isn't going away."
