Congressman Bean: “Democrats have put us in another shutdown”

WASHINGTON-In response to the partial government shutdown resulting from the Senate's failure to pass H.R. 7147, the FY26 Homeland Security Appropriations Act, U.S. Congressman Aaron Bean (FL-04) released the following statement:

"Part of the government is shut down once again, and it is the American people who are paying the price. TSA agents, Coast Guardsmen, and FEMA employees-our frontline defenders of safety and security-are facing uncertainty in their mission-critical roles. These dedicated public servants deserve stability so they can focus on keeping our communities safe, not worrying about whether their paychecks or resources will be disrupted. The House did our job by passing a bipartisan funding bill. It's up to the Senate to come to the table and act immediately to fund the Department of Homeland Security and restore stability to these essential agencies."
