Augustana University Encourages Community to go ‘All in For AU’ on Giving Day 2026

Augustana University's 10th annual Giving Day will take place on Friday, May 15 - a 24-hour fundraising event that encourages alumni, parents, staff, faculty, coaches, administrators and friends to go "All in for AU."

For a decade, Vikings have come together in remarkable ways to support the students, programs and experiences that make Augustana extraordinary. An investment on Giving Day 2026 helps fulfill Augustana's mission to provide an education of enduring worth - building on that momentum of the university's strategic plan Viking Bold: The Journey to 2030 and ensuring a bold future.

"As we celebrate this Giving Day milestone at Augustana University, we reflect on the enduring Viking spirit it inspires year after year. Alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends show their care for students and this special place through their generosity - supporting the initiatives that matter most to them. When they go 'All in for AU' on May 15, their collective impact strengthens our community and opens doors to opportunity," said Chief Strategy Officer & Executive Vice President Dr. Pam Homan '81.

Giving Day 2026 invites the Augustana community to go "All In" in support of several featured initiatives, including:

  • Academic Programs: Your gift will help support Augustana's academic departments and programs that educate the innovators and entrepreneurs of tomorrow. Designate your gift to the program(s) which means the most to you.
  • Annual Impact Scholarships: Your gift will support Augustana Impact Scholarships - ensuring students with great financial need have the resources to pursue their bold futures at AU.
  • Athletics Programs: Your gift will support Augustana Athletics' travel, recruitment, technology and equipment costs. Designate your gift to the program(s) that most resonate with your Viking passions.
  • The Augustana Fund: A gift to the Augustana Fund - giving to the greatest need - provides essential resources which fund the cost of instruction not covered by tuition revenue, as well as the ability to provide student scholarships, advance technology on campus, enhance the arts, athletics, campus ministry programs and more. In addition, it allows the university to address unexpected expenses, explore new opportunities and remain competitive in the higher education marketplace.
  • The Center for Western Studies (CWS): Your gift will help support continued enhancement of the CWS and its research opportunities, humanities conferences, art gallery exhibits and book publications.
  • The De & Dave Knudson Center for Global Engagement: Your gift to the De & Dave Knudson Center for Global Engagement will fuel transformative experiences - providing resources for study away scholarships, impact scholarships for international students, research and internship opportunities, professional development for faculty and staff, and community and global partnerships.
  • The Library Associates: Your gift will help support continued enhancement of the Mikkelsen Library - the information center of the AU community.
  • The Office of Faith & Spiritual Life: Your gift will support the Augustana Office of Faith & Spiritual Life, including student-led programming and regular opportunities for Bible studies, service, faith conversation and leadership development.
  • Women in Philanthropy Impact Scholarships: Your gift will provide annual scholarship support for women choosing to continue their education at AU.
This year, with help from the Augustana community of family and friends, AU strives to reach its goal of $500,000.
