Suggestions sought for GE Road Complex name

In October 2024, the Illinois State University Board of Trustees approved the purchase of the COUNTRY Financial® property located at 1709 and 1711 General Electric Road, Bloomington, to be the future home of the College of Engineering.

As Phase 1 of construction nears, the University invites the campus community to help shape the identity of its newest space by submitting naming suggestions.

As this property extends the Redbird footprint beyond the main campus, the goal is to select a name that reflects a strong connection to Redbird pride, Illinois State University values, and the future, while ensuring the facility feels distinctly part of the Redbird community.
