In recognition of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, DNC Chair Ken Martin released the following statement:
"Every year, on the anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, we remember the six million Jewish people and the millions of others who were systematically targeted and murdered by the Nazis during the Holocaust, one of the darkest times in human history. Today, amid a dwindling number of survivors and individuals with firsthand memories of the Holocaust, we further our resolve to eliminate bigotry and antisemitism whenever we see it by turning the words 'never again' into reality. We do this by calling out prejudice, stepping up enforcement and accountability of hate crimes, and supporting our neighbors no matter their religion, ethnicity, or nationality."
