Celebrate 12 Days of Christmas with a Great Iowa Treasure Hunt Claim

Great Iowa Treasure Hunt and State Treasurer Roby Smith are making the cost of 'true love' from the "The Twelve Days of Christmas" less daunting, by reminding Iowans they may have unclaimed property waiting for them.

"We may not have two turtle doves or seven swans a-swimming in safekeeping, but I'm sure there are a few safe deposit boxes with a golden ring or two," said Treasurer Smith. "If you've ever lived or worked in Iowa, now is the time to check GreatIowaTreasureHunt.gov to see if you have something in safekeeping. It's free to check, and who knows - you could be among the one in seven who has something to claim."

Great Iowa Treasure Hunt complied data on people and businesses with names that include Partridge, Dove, French, Bird, Gold, Ring, Geese, Swan, Maid, Lord, Lady, Piper, Drummer, Hen, Turtle, Pear and Tree. The combined value of all claims available was more than $1.75 million! If you have a name that includes one of these words, or have not checked to see if your name appeared in Great Iowa Treasure Hunt yet this year, visit GreatIowaTreasureHunt.gov and search your name today.
