Minister of Foreign Affairs Mauro Vieira held a meeting today, March 28, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cameroon, Lejeune Mbella Mbella, in Yaoundé.
During the meeting, they discussed topics of the international and bilateral agendas, with emphasis on promoting trade between the two countries, agricultural cooperation, and priorities of the 14th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization. They also addressed defense and maritime security issues, as well as Cameroon's participation in the 9th Ministerial Meeting of the South Atlantic Peace and Cooperation Zone, which will take place in Rio de Janeiro on April 8-9.
Brazil and Cameroon maintain a long-standing partnership. Bilateral trade in 2025 totaled nearly $229 million, including $190 million in Brazilian exports.
