Mayor Bowser to Kick Off Earth Month, Announce Return of Spring Services and Annual Spring Cleanup Events

(Washington, DC) - Today, Wednesday, April 1 at 11 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser and District leaders will highlight the city's spring cleaning and beautification services and invite community members to participate in the District's 10th Annual Spring Cleanup events happening across DC. This year's spring initiatives will merge sustainability, environmental stewardship, and pride in public service as the District kicks off Earth Month.

In addition to announcing the resumption of spring operations such as regular street and alley cleaning, graffiti removal, and community clean-ups, Mayor Bowser will also announce a new targeted rodent control pilot and will kick off a new road paving project along Pennsylvania Avenue SE-one of many road and sidewalk maintenance initiatives that will be completed from April through fall.
