The City of Spokane is starting a periodic update to the City's Comprehensive Plan, as required by the Growth Management Act (GMA). Due in June 2026, the periodic update will establish policies and future regulations to guide the next 20 years of our city. It is also an opportunity to identify the community's vision for the City of Spokane now and into 2046.

As we welcome the new year, many of us are envisioning what 2025 will bring, making lists and setting goals. Some are even crafting vision boards. Why not make a community vision board for the City of Spokane?

The Planning project team working on the Comprehensive Plan update invites the community to share their vision for the City of Spokane by contributing to an online vision board, a collection of images and words that identify and inspire you to reach your goals. You can find more details, including information about the Periodic Update themes - "Resilient", "Connected", and "Livable" - at the Engage Spokane link below.

This is just the first step in gathering input for the City of Spokane's future vision, which will help shape the goals and policies for growth and City actions. Stay informed about the update and upcoming engagement opportunities by signing up for the PlanSpokane newsletter.
