Parliament overrode the President's veto and re-adopted the changes to the Electoral Code

Parliament overrode the President's veto and re-adopted the contested changes to the Electoral Code with 126 votes in favour, 86 against, and 11 abstentions.

The newly adopted amendments provide for the formation of up to 20 polling stations in countries that are not members of the European Union outside the diplomatic and consular representations of the Republic of Bulgaria in the respective country.

Parliament adopted procedural rules on the terms and conditions for proposing a candidate for Deputy Governor - Head of the Issue Department of the Bulgarian National Bank, presentation and public disclosure of the documents and the hearing of the candidate in the Committee on Budget and Finance, as well as the procedure for election by the National Assembly.

The MPs also voted on decisions to change the composition and leadership of standing committees.

Edis Daudov was sworn in as a member of parliament representing the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms coalition from the 18th electoral district - Razgrad. He took Hasan Ademov's seat in Parliament for the time during which Ademov serves as Minister of Labour and Social Policy in the caretaker government.

Later, Edis Daudov submitted an application to leave the parliamentary group of the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms.
