President Discussed Diplomatic Efforts and Energy Support for Ukraine with the Prime Minister of Norway

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone call with Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre.

The Head of State briefed him on the diplomatic work underway these days. The Ukrainian team in Florida has been working with the American side, and European representatives were also invited. The President noted that it is important that these negotiations are constructive, and that much depends on Russia feeling the need to end the war for real - this must not be a rhetorical or political game on Russia's part.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that the real signals coming from Russia remain only negative: assaults along the frontline, Russian war crimes in border areas, and continued strikes against our infrastructure. It is essential that the world does not remain silent about all of this.

The Head of State thanked Norway for its support and readiness to continue helping - both in maintaining pressure on Russia and in recovery after the strikes. Norway will assist Ukraine with energy resilience. There is a shared sense that after the work by Ukraine's diplomatic team in the United States, it will be important to hold consultations in a broader circle with European partners as well.
