OAS Permanent Council Commemorates Anniversary of the Inter-American Democratic Charter

The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, September 17, at 10:00 EDT (14:00 GMT) in the Simón Bolívar Room at OAS headquarters in Washington, DC to commemorate "The Twenty-fourth Anniversary of the Inter-American Democratic Charter," discuss "Building Foundations for a Global Response to Arbitrary Detention in State-to-State Relations" and receive the "Final Report of the Electoral Observation Mission of the Organization of American States deployed in Colombia for the Legislative Elections of March 13, 2022, and Presidential Elections First and Second Round of May 19 and June 29, 2022," among other topics.´
