The President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, held a farewell meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Georgia, Ali Kaan Orbay.


During the meeting, President Mikheil Kavelashvili expressed his gratitude to the diplomat for his successful tenure in Georgia and for his significant contribution to the advancement of bilateral partnership between the two countries.


As the President noted, Georgia highly values and attaches great importance to the close friendship and exemplary strategic partnership between Georgia and Türkiye, which is founded on trust, mutual respect, and due consideration of each other's national interests.


Mikheil Kavelashvili wished Ali Kaan Orbay success in his future diplomatic endeavors and expressed confidence that the incoming ambassador will uphold the high standard he has established and continue to contribute to the development of Georgian-Turkish relations.


The meeting was held at the Presidential Palace.
