Neighborhood Meeting
The City of Mountain View will hold a neighborhood meeting for the residents whose access to drinking water has been impacted by the Cuesta Park area water main incident. The meeting will be held on the evening of Friday, May 1. More details will be announced soon.
Meal and Incidental Expenses Reimbursement
The City is currently collecting information from affected residents in order to provide reimbursement for meal and incidental expenses on a per diem basis, in accordance with federal reimbursement rates ($92 per day per resident). A form is being developed and will be shared with these residents soon.
Temporary Lodging Available for Impacted Residents
The City is providing temporary lodging with several hotels through Monday, May 4. They include:
More hotels may be added to the list. In particular, the City is seeking to add hotel(s) with kitchen facilities. Alternatively, the City will reimburse impacted residents up to $192+tax/night if they choose to use a different hotel of their choice.

Shower Facilities
The residents affected by the water shutoff may continue to use the shower facilities at Rengstorff Park Aquatics Center and Eagle Park Pool. The pool facility hours are, as follows:
The City is also exploring the ability for affected residents to use the showers at the YMCA. An update will be provided when available.
About the Incident
Approximately 67 households near Cuesta Park remain under a "Do Not Drink" order following a water main contamination incident involving a contractor on Friday, April 24. The water in the affected area is turned on for toilet flushing use only. The City is taking all required steps to have safe drinking water access restored as quickly as possible.
