The Village of Hoffman Estates, in partnership with the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC), is hosting its free annual recycling drop-off and document destruction event on Saturday, Aug. 23 from 9 a.m. until noon at Village Hall, 1900 Hassell Rd. This free event is for SWANCC residents only; no business materials will be accepted. Find a list of SWANCC member communities here: https://swancc.org/about-us/members

How to prepare for a Document Destruction event:
Residents should remain in their vehicles while attending this event, and workers will unload recyclables from your vehicle. Paper documents should be contained in paper bags or small cardboard boxes - not in plastic bags. If a resident has a variety of materials to recycle, please keep them separated in the back of the vehicle to ensure items are recycled properly. Accepted items include textiles, sharps, batteries, printer cartridges, and fluorescent light bulbs.
