Rep. Mary Ann Santos Sworn in, Receives Committee Assignments for the 2025-2026 Legislative Term

ATLANTA - State Representative Mary Ann Santos (D-McDonough) was sworn into office as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, January 13, 2025, marking her first day of the 2025-2026 legislative term.

"I am extremely honored to be officially sworn in as a member of the Georgia House," said Rep. Santos. "I also want to extend my gratitude to Speaker Burns and the House Committee on Assignments for selecting me to serve on these distinguished committees. It is my intention to serve with unity while remaining resilient in my efforts to champion the legislative priorities that will best serve the people of House District 117."

In addition to being officially sworn in, the Georgia House of Representatives' Committee on Assignments named Rep. Santos to the Code Revision, Judiciary Juvenile and State Properties committees.

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Mary Ann Santos represents the citizens of District 117, which includes a portion of Henry County. She was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2024 and currently serves on the Code Revision, Judiciary Juvenile and State Properties committees.
