LEE'S SUMMIT, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from August 24 through August 28. All work is weather permitting.
JACKSON COUNTY
Interstate 470 westbound between U.S. Route 50 and Doutlas St: left lane closed on Monday, Aug. 24, from approximately 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., for drainage repair.
Interstate 35 near Interstate 670: various closures for brush removal work.
JOHNSON COUNTY
Route PP: road closed for pavement overlay work from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily.
Route EE: road closed for pavement overlay work from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily.
LAFAYETTE COUNTY
Route 23 between SE 15th St. and Route CC: flagging operations with pilot cars from Monday, Aug. 24 until Wednesday, Aug. 26, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement repair work.
PLATTE COUNTY
Route N at various locations: flagging operations from Monday, Aug. 24 until Thursday, Aug. 27, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement repair.
Route P at various locations: flagging operations from Monday, Aug. 24 until Thursday, Aug. 27, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement repair.
RAY COUNTY
Business Route 10 between Missouri Route 13 and Missouri Route 10 west: flagging operation on Thursday, Aug. 27, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement work.
SALINE COUNTY
Route N between U.S. Route 65 and end of state maintenance: flagging operations on Monday, Aug. 24, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.
Missouri Route 122 between Missouri Route 41 and end of state maintenance: flagging operations on Tuesday, Aug. 25, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.
Route NN between Route 41 and Route C: flagging operations on Wednesday, Aug. 26, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.
Route O between Route F and Route C: flagging operations on Thursday, Aug. 27, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.
MoDOT maintenance crews often perform other tasks throughout the work week such as pothole patching, litter pick-up, sign repairs, brush cutting, and other operations that are not included above as they pose limited impacts to traffic.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
