Fiestas 2025 will return to the University of New Mexico on April 12, bringing a stacked lineup of local and national artists to Johnson Field. The annual spring concert, hosted by ASUNM Student Special Events, runs from 4 to 9 p.m. and is free for all UNM students.
This year's show will open with Sisterbaby, a local, female-led band with strong ties to the UNM community. Frontwoman Faye Elmore, a student at the university, said performing at Fiestas has been a longtime dream.
"It's special for me and my sister, who is also a student here, to perform since it's been a dream on our bucket list since we started at UNM," Elmore said. "We are very passionate about the local music scene in ABQ and honored to be able to represent that."
The band consists of five members: sisters Faye and Lillian Elmore on vocals, drummer Tin Haynes, bassist Ken Chavez, and guitarist Camron Beatty. Together, they'll kick off the night and set the tone for the high-energy acts to follow.
"We're excited to reach a big demographic of listeners," Elmore said. "I don't think anyone would normally pair our music with Yung Gravy's, but it's a fun way to be exposed to different kinds of music. Getting to say we're opening for Yung Gravy is unreal."
Fiestas 2025 will feature the following performances:
4 p.m. - Sisterbaby
4:45 p.m. - Slums of Harvard
5:30 p.m. - Cherub
6:30 p.m. - Sage the Gemini
7:45 p.m. - Yung Gravy
Students can expect to arrive promptly at 3:30 p.m. when the gates open and are required to bring their Lobo ID for admission. Students are allowed one non-student guest, and only currently enrolled students are allowed inside.
Once inside the gate, Lobos can indulge in food trucks with options from local favorites like Rolln' in Hot, JPZ concessions, and Bing Tea.
Students planning to attend should review the Fiestas 2025 admission requirements ahead of time to ensure a smooth experience.
